Dr. Omaima Hatem’s Academic Studies
Dr. Omaima Hatem holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh Business School, an MBA, MSc, and BSc in Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (FHEA) and has studied Leadership, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Management at Harvard and MIT in the USA.

Dr. Hatem’s trading company, Technology Transfer for Consulting & Trading, has extensive experience in the development and trading of various products. This includes:

- Food Stuffs (flour, sugar, pasta, canned goods, frozen foods, and processed meats)

Technology Transfer’s trading activities spans across the 5 continents and cover USA, Europe, East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Uganda), West Africa (Burkina Faso, Côte D’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Senegal, Sierra Leone), North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia), and Asia (China, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore). Additionally, Technology Transfer for Consulting & Trading exported a variety of fruits and vegetables, which was cultivated by another company of the group namely the Good Earth. For 10 years, the
company exported grapes, green beans, onions, potatoes and oranges to Marks & Spenser in the UK. The Company also exported cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil to Correcelli in Italy.
Engineering
Dr. Hatem, together with her Companies, Technology Transfer for Consulting & Trading and HA Engineering Consulting (HAEC), has been involved in a variety of large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects. HAEC is an international award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, offering expertise in architectural and engineering design (conceptual, preliminary, and detailed) and construction supervision. Their focus includes Transportation (Roads, bridges, tunnels, metro lines, and airports), Ports & Marine Structures, Irrigation & Hydraulic Structures, Water Supply & Wastewater, Energy & Power, Buildings, Urban & Regional Planning and Environmental Studies.
Dr. Hatem and her team have participated in the design, monitoring, and contractor supervision for several of Egypt’s mega infrastructure projects, including Cairo Metro Line 4, Cairo Alexandria Desert Road, Damietta liquified natural gas station, East Port Said Industrial Zone, and East Port Said and Al Sokhna ports.
Additionally, she has collaborated with multinationals on renowned global landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa (Dubai), Dubai Airport (Dubai), Library of Alexandria (Egypt), Doha Airport (Qatar), Ground Zero Museum (USA), and Oslo Opera House (Norway).
Dr. Hatem and her associates have also formed consortiums with leading multinational construction and consulting firms, completing significant developments in other countries as well such as the East West Road and irrigation dams in Algeria, and ports in Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, and Surinam (South America).
